The party inside the mansion was elegant, loud, and full of cruel smiles.
Guests stood in expensive clothes, glasses clinked, women laughed softly, and warm lights shined across the marble floors. Everything looked perfect from the outside.
But inside the kitchen, Anna stood alone at the sink.
She was young, beautiful, and tired. Her hands were wet from washing dishes, her hair was slightly messy, and the simple apron around her made her look like someone everyone could ignore.
Nearby stood Victoria, the wealthy woman of the house.
She was surrounded by several well-dressed friends, all holding champagne glasses. They whispered, smiled, and looked at Anna as if she were beneath them.
Then Victoria stepped closer.
With a cruel smile, she raised her glass and slowly poured champagne over Anna’s shoulder.
The cold liquid ran down Anna’s apron and dripped onto the floor.
The women burst into laughter.
Anna froze.
Her eyes filled with humiliation, but she did not speak. She did not defend herself. She only lowered her head and tried to hold back her tears.
At that exact moment, the kitchen door opened.
Daniel walked in.
He was Victoria’s husband, dressed in an elegant suit. The moment he saw Anna standing there soaked in champagne, and heard the women laughing, his face changed.
The laughter slowly disappeared.
Victoria smiled nervously, thinking Daniel would support her.
But Daniel did not even look at his wife.
He walked straight toward Anna.
Very gently, he removed the wet apron from her shoulders and placed it on the counter.
Under the apron, Anna was wearing an elegant dress.
Then everyone noticed a small family necklace around her neck.
The kitchen became completely silent.
Victoria’s face turned pale.
Daniel slowly turned toward his wife.
His voice was low, but filled with anger.
“She is not your servant… she is my sister.”
No one moved.
Anna lowered her eyes, trying not to cry.
Victoria took a step back, speechless.

She looked afraid.
Daniel stood beside Anna protectively.
