The current girlfriend mocked his ex in the street, proudly saying he belonged to her now. But one phone call revealed a truth no one expected.

The evening street was quiet, with distant cars passing and a soft wind moving through the air. Outside an elegant building, Daniel stood between two women who clearly should not have met.

On one side was Olivia, his current girlfriend. She was stylish, confident, and wearing a smile full of arrogance.

On the other side stood Emma, his ex-girlfriend. She looked calm, composed, and strangely confident. She did not raise her voice. She did not look angry. That only made Olivia more irritated.

Olivia stepped closer to Daniel and looked at Emma with a mocking smile.

“Jealous?” she said. “He’s mine now.”

Daniel shifted uncomfortably.

Emma looked at Olivia for a moment, then answered calmly:

“So you really love using things that belonged to someone else?”

Olivia’s smile tightened.

“What are you even talking about?” she snapped. “You’re just saying that because you’re jealous.”

Emma did not react.

She simply looked at Daniel, then back at Olivia.

“You’ll find out soon.”

Daniel frowned.

“Emma, what does that mean?”

Before she could answer, his phone vibrated in his hand.

The sound cut through the tension.

Daniel looked down at the screen and answered.

“Hello?”

On the other end, a shocked male voice spoke urgently:

“Boss, your ex-girlfriend just bought your entire company.”

Daniel froze.

His face lost color.

Olivia’s confident expression disappeared instantly.

“What?” she whispered.

Daniel slowly lowered the phone, still staring at Emma as if he were seeing her for the first time.

Emma remained calm.

She had not come to argue. She had not come to beg. She had not come back because she wanted Daniel.

She had come back because she now owned everything he thought made him powerful.

Olivia turned toward Daniel, panic rising in her face.

“Your company? What is he talking about?”

Daniel could barely speak.

Emma took one slow step forward.

“When we were together,” she said quietly, “you told me I would never become anything without you.”

Daniel swallowed hard.

Emma continued:

“You said no one would ever take me seriously. You said I should be grateful just to stand beside you.”

Olivia looked at Daniel in shock.

Daniel looked away.

For the first time, Olivia realized she did not know the whole story.

Emma’s voice stayed calm.

“So I worked. I built my own business. I invested. And when your company started failing, I bought it.”

Daniel’s breathing became heavy.

“You bought it?” he asked.

Emma nodded.

“Every share I needed.”

Olivia stepped back.

Her arrogance was gone. Moments earlier, she had mocked Emma as if she were a jealous ex. Now she stood in front of the woman who had just become Daniel’s boss.

Daniel tried to speak.

“Emma… we can talk about this.”

Emma looked at him with quiet strength.

“No, Daniel. We talked enough when you thought I was beneath you.”

The street fell silent.

Only the soft wind and distant cars filled the space between them.

Olivia looked from Daniel to Emma, unable to understand how the situation had turned against her so quickly.

Emma turned to Olivia one last time.

“And you were right about one thing,” she said. “He is yours now.”

Olivia blinked, confused.

Emma looked at Daniel and added:

“But the company is mine.”

Daniel stood frozen.

Olivia had no words.

Emma turned and walked away calmly, her footsteps steady on the sidewalk.

Behind her, Daniel remained silent, holding the phone in his hand, while Olivia stood beside him with her face full of disbelief.

That night, Emma did not come back to take Daniel.

She came back to take the power he once used against her.
